Conservative activist Laura Loomer delivered a lengthy and emotional critique of the Republican Party on Friday, saying she no longer recognizes the direction of the GOP while reaffirming her support for President Donald Trump.
In a series of remarks posted on X, Loomer argued that the Republican Party has developed what she described as a political litmus test and accused party leaders of avoiding issues she believes are important to Americans.
“It’s becoming very clear to me the GOP is creating a litmus test. The GOP, like the left, doesn’t want to talk about issues that matter to the American people. They want to fuel the obsession with Israel, Jews, and do nothing as Islam takes over our country,” Loomer wrote.
The longtime conservative activist said she has spent considerable time reflecting on her career, political activism and the future of the country.
“I have been thinking a lot lately about life, my career, my goals, my dreams, and the future of America,” she wrote, adding that she believes there is “really no place” for people with her views in what she described as the future Republican Party.
Loomer also accused some figures within the conservative movement of abandoning Trump.
“People who owe their fame and fortune to President Trump are selling him out and siding with America’s enemies,” she wrote. “They don’t care if Communist Muslims take over and impeach Trump, as long as they get what they want.”
Looking ahead to the next presidential election, Loomer predicted the party would continue moving in a direction she opposes.
“I predict in 2028 the new rule will be: no Jews or Islam critics allowed on the campaign trail,” she wrote, adding that she believes campaigns will face political attacks for hiring Jewish staff members or individuals critical of Islamic jihad.
Reflecting on her own political career, Loomer said she has devoted nearly 15 years to supporting the Republican Party. She noted that she has run for office twice and said she had been deplatformed, debanked, doxxed, swatted, harassed and the target of alleged murder plots because of her activism.
“I always took it on the chin while being treated like shit in return and never getting anything of any reciprocation for my efforts,” she wrote.
Loomer said she now finds the Republican Party increasingly difficult to recognize and questioned whom she can trust.
“Sadly, the party is now becoming so unrecognizable to me,” she wrote. “I worry about who I can trust and who is a friend and who is an enemy because so many people I know are now unrecognizable.”
Despite her criticism of the GOP, Loomer emphasized that she remains supportive of President Trump.
“I’ll always love and support Donald Trump, and I’ll always be grateful for the sacrifices he and his family have made for our country,” she wrote. “I am still going to work hard everyday to support him.”
She also expressed hope that Republicans win the upcoming midterm elections and that “communists don’t take over in 2028,” while maintaining that the party itself has changed dramatically.
“The trajectory of the GOP itself is nothing I recognize anymore,” Loomer wrote.
She questioned whether investing so much emotion in politics had been worthwhile, suggesting that loyalty, integrity and remaining true to one’s beliefs may matter more than overlooking developments she finds troubling.
“I am disappointed in what I am seeing and what is being tolerated by the GOP,” she wrote. “I’ve always been loyal and always been true to what I believe in. I’ve never sold out and never will.”
Loomer concluded by saying she would “never be a Democrat,” but argued that the Republican Party is “tolerating way too much radical behavior” and lacks what she called “moral clarity.”
“I’m scared for the future of America,” she wrote before ending with a bleak assessment of the nation’s future.
“All good things in life always come to an end, eventually. Including America it seems,” Loomer wrote. “America 250 is a funeral and I’m dressed in black.”
Loomer, a longtime Trump supporter, has recently been involved in public disputes over Israel with right-wing commentators including Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens amid broader disagreements within the MAGA movement.
