Marianne Williamson, a writer and Democratic presidential candidate, reportedly elaborated on her demand that President Biden debate her and fellow contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Thursday, stating that voters, not politicians or parties, should determine the front-runner.
Since the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last weekend, Biden has seldom spoken and made few public appearances. He has also said little on Williamson or Kennedy.
In addition, rather than holding a rally, he started his reelection campaign with a pre-recorded video.
Williamson slammed Biden for his reluctance to debate during an appearance on ‘Hannity.’
Williamson told Hannity that she believed it was “important that people have a right to see their options.”
“I think this is an extremely important time in American history, and anyone who feels moved to run for president should have their say – and the voters should hear what they have to say – They should hear their agenda and the voters should decide who they want to be president.” she continued.
“I wouldn’t be running if I didn’t think that I was a better candidate. I think I have the energy, and certainly I have the ideas. I think every American can decide for themselves.” she added.
Williamson joked that she also had the stamina to defeat either Florida Governor Ron DeSantis or former President Donald Trump in the general election. Although the governor has not yet announced, many believe that she will.
