A heckler wearing a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt was punched in the face by a supporter of President Donald Trump on Monday night after interrupting the president’s rally in Youngstown, Ohio.
The disruption came as Trump was taking aim at Ohio Democratic Senate candidate Sherrod Brown. The Newsmax broadcast of the event showed attendees turning toward a commotion in the crowd and jeering.
The footage then split into two views, showing a Trump supporter violently shoving the woman, striking her in the face and pushing her back into the bleachers. At one point, the rallygoer grabbed the woman by the hair and tried to slam her face toward the ground.
Law enforcement officers moved in, breaking up the altercation and working to escort the woman out of the arena.
From the stage, Trump addressed the disruption directly.
“He’s a paid protester,” Trump said. “They’re all paid. They get paid by the lefties in order to destroy our country. They’re scum. But he’s going back home to Mom. He’s going back home to Mom. Look at him. Look at him. Terrible. Don’t we love law enforcement? Oh, he’s gotta go on a diet! He’s a fat guy. Wow. Wow. Gotta go on a diet fast. We all do.”
Once the broadcast returned to a single camera angle, the president doubled down.
“No, they’re paid protesters. That’s a very low-class protester,” Trump added.
The woman, whose shirt bore the words “Release the Epstein Files” in gold lettering, was forcefully removed by multiple law enforcement officers, who led her out by the collar of her jacket.
Meanwhile, the man who punched her remained inside the arena, where he was seen exchanging high-fives with fellow members of the crowd.
The Youngstown clash marks the second time in a matter of days that a Trump rally has turned physical.
Just days earlier, at a rally in San Antonio, Texas, a man wearing a MAGA hat grabbed a heckler by the hair and yanked him to the ground after the heckler interrupted the president’s speech.
Following that incident, the president posed a question to the crowd.
“Let me ask you a question — is there anything like a Trump rally? Is there anything like it? I don’t think so,” the president said from the stage.
The back-to-back confrontations come as Trump hits the campaign trail, with Monday’s stop in Youngstown featuring a direct attack on Brown, the Democrat running for Senate in Ohio.
The Ohio rally’s disruption unfolded in full view of the Newsmax cameras, with the broadcast capturing the crowd’s reaction, the physical altercation in the bleachers and the eventual intervention by law enforcement, all while the president continued speaking from the stage.
In both Youngstown and San Antonio, hecklers who interrupted the president’s remarks were met with physical force from fellow attendees before order was restored, and in Ohio, it was the heckler, not the man who struck her, who was ultimately removed from the event.
