Obama-Era Intelligence Manipulation Sparks Calls for Criminal Probe Amid Explosive Revelations

New disclosures are now reportedly now casting a harsh light on the final days of the Obama administration, with declassified intelligence pointing to what officials now say was a coordinated effort to politicize intelligence and undermine the incoming presidency of Donald J. Trump.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released over 100 documents this week, including a December 2016 President’s Daily Brief reportedly stating that Russia lacked both the intent and capability to influence the 2016 presidential election.

That assessment, however, never saw the light of day — and Gabbard alleges it was intentionally buried by Obama-era appointees.

According to Gabbard, the following day, then-President Obama convened a National Security Council meeting and directed top intelligence officials — including James Clapper, John Brennan, James Comey, and Susan Rice — to produce a report that supported the narrative that Russia had intervened in the election to help Trump.

Gabbard called it a “manufactured, politicized piece of intelligence” and a “years-long coup” against a duly elected president.

The intelligence assessment that followed leaned heavily on the infamous Steele dossier, a discredited opposition research file funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Despite objections from intelligence professionals, the dossier was incorporated into the final report and later used to justify surveillance of Trump campaign aide Carter Page — effectively granting the Obama administration access to Trump’s inner circle during the transition period.

“There must be real consequences for the abuse of power that took place,” Gabbard said, insisting that criminal investigations are warranted. “This wasn’t just political dirty tricks,” she added. “It was a coup.”

The revelations don’t stop there. Gabbard said whistleblowers from inside the intelligence community are now coming forward, disgusted by what they witnessed.

According to reporting from Real Clear Investigations, internal communications, including emails and texts, reveal that senior Clinton campaign aides and top Obama administration officials were in direct contact, coordinating a narrative they privately admitted had no foundation.

Paul Sperry’s reporting also cited a former Washington Post investigative journalist who was stunned by the documents. “It’s rare to see such slam-dunk evidence of a conspiracy,” the journalist reportedly said.

At the center of the firestorm are former intelligence chiefs Brennan and Comey — figures once portrayed as guardians of democracy — now implicated in an intelligence operation that increasingly appears to have been politically motivated from the start.

The breadth of coordination — spanning the White House, National Security Council, State Department, and multiple intelligence agencies — is now drawing comparisons to Watergate. Gabbard said the scope of this conspiracy “makes Watergate look like amateur hour.”

She has vowed to refer the matter to the Department of Justice and warned that no official, regardless of title or party, is above the law.

With these latest disclosures, the Trump–Russia narrative long used to batter the 45th president is rapidly unraveling. What was once a partisan talking point is now being revealed, piece by piece, as one of the most far-reaching political deceptions in modern American history.
