REPORT: Harris Faulkner Close to Besting ‘The View’ in Ratings Battle

Harris Faulkner, the prominent host on Fox News, is reportedly making significant strides in the competitive daytime television landscape, closely trailing ABC’s “The View” in ratings this year.

Since the beginning of 2025, Faulkner’s show, “The Faulkner Focus,” has averaged approximately 2.3 million viewers, compared to 2.5 million for “The View,” which features a panel that includes notable figures like Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar.

During an interview, Faulkner attributed her show’s success to a commitment to “telling the truth” and presenting a variety of viewpoints.

She noted that viewers tuning in at 11:00 a.m. are often searching for timely news updates and factual reporting—elements she believes are sometimes lacking in the content offered by “The View.” “People are looking for the very latest on the big stories, breaking news, and the facts,” she stated.

Faulkner believes that many media platforms focus excessively on political conflicts rather than the everyday concerns of average Americans.

Drawing from her own experiences as a mother of a high school senior preparing for college, she emphasized the importance of connecting with audiences on a personal level. “I think I know what it takes to get your kid ready for life,” she remarked, reinforcing her perspective that news should resonate with the experiences of viewers.

A seasoned journalist, Faulkner has been with Fox News since 2005, earning multiple Emmy awards for her local coverage. She has hosted “The Faulkner Focus” since January 2021 and previously co-hosted “Outnumbered.”

Her background in communication stems from her parents, who encouraged her to value storytelling and connection. “Your greatest power will be telling the truth,” she recalled her parents teaching her.

While Faulkner’s show has achieved impressive ratings in several cities, including St. Louis and Phoenix, the competition with “The View” remains fierce.

Faulkner has described her position as an honor, noting that it is remarkable for her show to be in close contention with a well-established program like “The View.”

Reflecting on her experience as a guest on “The View” in 2018, Faulkner observed that the program has shifted from its original intent.

She expressed a desire for a broader range of perspectives, suggesting that the show often leans toward a single viewpoint. “It’s kind of sad,” she remarked regarding the lack of diverse opinions on the panel.

Faulkner’s approach includes segments that encourage voter engagement, which she believes sets her apart from her competitors. “I have a responsibility on my shoulders that I’ve never felt before,” she noted, acknowledging the weight of her influence in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

As she continues to navigate this ratings battle, Faulkner remains committed to her mission of delivering relevant news and connecting with her audience.
