Trump Reveals Names of Two Possible Successors When Asked

In a recent interview on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” President Donald Trump reportedly named Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as potential successors.

When asked by moderator Kristen Welker about who he envisions taking over after his second term, Trump acknowledged it was early to speculate but praised Vance’s performance, saying he is doing “a fantastic job.”

Trump stated, “It could very well be” that Vance is at the top of the list for succession.

He expressed confidence in the strength of the Republican Party, noting, “We have a lot of good people in this party.”

However, he emphasized that he intends to focus on completing his current term rather than seeking a third.

Regarding a possible third term, which is constitutionally prohibited, Trump said he has received strong encouragement from supporters but clarified he is not pursuing that route. “Four years is plenty of time to do something really spectacular,” he remarked.

Welker pressed Trump on whether some of his allies are seriously considering avenues for a constitutional amendment to allow him a third term.

Trump acknowledged that many supporters have suggested various ideas but reiterated that he is not exploring that option.

Overall, Trump’s remarks reflect his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition to a capable Republican successor after his presidency.

He conveyed optimism about the party’s future, stressing the importance of finding a “great Republican” to continue his agenda.
