Boebert Heckled During Appearance Outside Trump Trial

As Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) delivered a statement in support of the former president Donald Trump during his criminal trial in New York, she was heckled by protestors.

Thursday at the court proceedings, the Colorado lawmaker was in attendance at the same time as a number of Republican representatives, including Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

Boebert delivered her remarks beyond the courthouse, subsequent to the conclusion of other Republican orators at the podium.

She asserted that the New York prosecution was incapable of identifying the offense that Trump had committed.

Protesters interrupted Boebert’s entire statement with jeers and chants of “Beetlejuice,” a reference to the September incident in Colorado in which she was expelled from the production for inappropriate conduct, vaping, and photography.

One protester was observed mocking Boebert during her Thursday afternoon address by brandishing a playbill for the musical Beetlejuice in front of her. Reportedly, the individual requested Boebert’s signature on the playbill.

Additional Republican allies of Trump who were present in court on Thursday supported the frontrunner in opposition to the prosecution, mirroring Boebert’s dissent.

Criminal charges have been levied against Trump on the grounds that he purportedly fabricated business documents pertaining to hush money payments throughout the 2016 presidential campaign.
