Democrat Senator Claims His Party Must Promote Class Warfare if it Wants to Prevail in November

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) acknowledged in a recent social media post that the Democratic Party needs more than just policies and programs to secure election victories.

He proposed that highlighting economic disparities could be beneficial for their cause.

Murphy shared his thoughts in a Tuesday post to X, referring to a recent study that revealed how many Democrats were not focusing their campaigns on addressing wealth disparities.

“A new study showing that 4 out of 5 Democratic candidates don’t talk about billionaire and corporate power,” Murphy wrote.

“Democrats cannot win if we just talk about programs. We need to tell a story — about how the concentration and [sic] wealth & power is ruining America.” he continued.

The study emphasized the decline in support for Democrats among the working class since 2012, and Murphy openly proposed addressing this issue through strategies that resonate with working class voters.

Critics were swift to highlight Murphy’s apparent transparency, acknowledging that Democrat policies and programs were not resonating with American voters.

They suggested that the strategy of maintaining division between average Americans and the wealthy and corporations was the sole path to victory.
