Fetterman Slams Harvard for Its Far-Left Politics

Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania derided the BDS movement in an interview this week, stating that despite the fact that he attended Harvard University twenty-five years after Claudine Gay resigned as president, he does not “recognize” the movement’s “pinko” tendencies.

Fetterman’s remark follows closely behind the resignation of Harvard President Claudine Gay, who was called into question by Congress regarding her inability to respond to a question condemning antisemitism and faced nearly fifty plagiarism allegations.

“As an alum of Harvard — look, I graduated 25 years ago, and of course it was always a little pinko. But now, I don’t recognize it.” Fetterman said in a recent discussion with Semafor.

“Israel is really a beacon of the kind of values, the American values and progressive ideals, that you want to see.” Fetterman also said later in the discussion.

Fetterman also responded to internal party demands for a “cease fire” in Israel.

Fetterman has encountered censure from his Democratic colleagues regarding certain stances, such as immigration and Israel.
