Rep. Elise Stefanik Announces Support for Biden Impeachment Inquiry

Elise Stefanik, a Republican representative from New York, has reportedly backed a move to investigate President Joe Biden’s possible participation in his son Hunter’s business transactions.

Following further charges from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblowers, a number of House Republicans, including Speaker Kevin McCarthy, have suggested the president be impeached.

Fox Business asked Stefanik on Thursday if she agreed with such a probe, to which she replied, “Absolutely.”

“I’m in conversations with Speaker McCarthy and all of our members and the important thing to know about impeachment inquiry is that ensures that the House is at the apex of its power and oversight responsibility,” said Stefanik. “I believe that the American people are smart. They understand that the big guy is Joe Biden. But having that impeachment inquiry allows us to get all the facts and have the most constitutionally recognized power from the House of Representatives.” Stefanik said.

Stefanik also criticized the White House and Department of Justice (DOJ) for “trying to quietly change its language” on the president’s involvement in Hunter’s international business activities.

The congresswoman claimed that the White House had changed its position from initially asserting that Biden had never communicated with Hunter about his business affairs to now asserting that Biden hasn’t “been in business” with his son.
