MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Claims Trump Kept Classified Documents for Profit

Joe Scarborough, a commentator for MSNBC, reportedly said on Friday that former President Trump kept official secrets after leaving the White House because doing so would be financially advantageous.

“If you’re trying to figure out Donald Trump’s motive, whatever it is, we’ve been saying for eight years, it’s all about money,” Scarborough claimed.

However he went on to note that there was “absolutely no evidence that he was selling this information to anybody.”

“But I would never, I would never say, ‘Oh, he was just doing this to hug the boxes.’ There’s every reason to believe, given his past, that there would be a possibility that he might trade this information, if not directly for money, maybe for access, maybe just so he can make contacts and build a hotel of this place or that place.” he continued.

In federal court this week, Trump entered a not guilty plea to 37 counts related to his handling of sensitive materials, which prosecutors claim compromised U.S. national security and violated the Espionage Act.

In light of the fact that President Biden is now leading most polls to win the Republican nominee for president in 2024, the former president has accused the Justice Department of trying to “take him out” and engage in political persecution.
