Fox News Reporter Jacqui Heinrich Announces Engagement to Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick

Jacqui Heinrich, a senior White House correspondent for Fox News, and Representative Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania reportedly announced their engagement this week, sharing the story of his carefully orchestrated proposal in the lavender fields of Provence.

The engagement took place on June 29 at dawn in Valensole, France. Heinrich, 36, and Fitzpatrick, 51, had planned a brief getaway to celebrate her birthday, a long-held dream inspired by her wish to explore France’s fragrant countryside.

Reflecting on her own comments to The Boston Globe, Heinrich once said she hoped “to eat the baguettes, see the lavender fields, drink the wine and eat the butter.” Fitzpatrick turned that dream into reality.

They arrived in Nice before embarking on a 1:30 a.m. drive to Valensole. As the sun rose, Fitzpatrick, having first asked Henrich’s father for permission in New Hampshire, guided her through a field just as a photographer and drone captured the moment.

He proposed with a brilliant-cut diamond solitaire ring from Heinrich’s family jeweler in Portland, Maine.

“He didn’t ask for any help from me or anyone I know—so I was really surprised he got it spot‑on,” Heinrich said. She added that the setting was breathtaking, with the lavender’s scent and the peaceful sunrise making the moment feel like “a fairy tale.”

Despite their brief stay of less than 48 hours—before Fitzpatrick returned to Washington to vote on the fiscal “One Big Beautiful Bill”—the couple also visited St. Tropez and Cannes, packing their itinerary with highlights along the French Riviera.

Heinrich, who joined Fox News in 2018 and rose to White House correspondent in 2024, confirmed the engagement on X with a succinct “Fact check: true,” adding a touch of levity to social media. Fox colleagues responded with warm congratulations, celebrating both her personal and professional achievements.

Fitzpatrick, a veteran congressman and former FBI agent, praised Heinrich’s intelligence, faith, and kindness. “I love his brain,” she said of her fiancé, emphasizing his principled nature and warmth—qualities she values deeply.

The couple have already moved into a new home together and plan to host a combined housewarming and engagement party.

Although they have yet to firm up wedding details, they envision a Catholic church ceremony and expect a sizable celebration to reflect Fitzpatrick’s large extended family.

From a first date at the 2021 Kennedy Center Honors to this picturesque proposal, Heinrich and Fitzpatrick’s journey reflects a partnership built on mutual respect, shared aspirations, and a blend of public service and journalism spanning the political and media spheres.
