Former Obama Aide Becomes Enraged After Biden Claims he Would Have Beaten Trump in 2024

Former Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer reportedly expressed his frustration with President Joe Biden’s recent claim that he could have defeated Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

During an appearance on “The View,” Biden asserted that he still believes he would have won, citing his 2020 margins and the close results in swing states during the recent election.

Pfeiffer criticized this statement on his podcast “Pod Save America,” calling it both delusional and disrespectful to Vice President Kamala Harris, who was the Democratic nominee in 2024.

Pfeiffer found it aggravating that Biden would vocalize such beliefs, arguing it is politically unrealistic. He emphasized that expressing these thoughts undermines Harris, who faced significant challenges during her campaign.

Biden did not officially drop out until July 21, after a poor debate performance against Trump, which left Harris in a difficult position.

He noted that Biden’s comments could be seen as dismissive to Harris, who, had Biden remained in the race, would likely have been a frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.

Pfeiffer pointed out the implications of Biden’s remarks, suggesting they reflect a lack of awareness about the political landscape.

In the same interview, Biden commented on Harris’s loss, attributing it partially to sexism, and defended her qualifications for the presidency.

Despite acknowledging concerns about Biden’s cognitive health, Pfeiffer indicated that he did not believe Biden was unfit to serve but expressed doubts about his capacity for a second term.

Overall, Pfeiffer’s criticism underscores the tensions within the Democratic Party regarding Biden’s leadership and potential for future elections, particularly concerning Harris’s role and the party’s direction moving forward.
