Boebert Under Investigation After Fight With Ex-Husband

Saturday night at a restaurant in Silt, Colorado, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, were the subject of an investigation by the police, according to multiple news sources.

Chief of Police for Silt, Mike Kite, verified to The Denver Gazette, that an investigation was underway into the incident that allegedly occurred at the Miner’s Claim restaurant in western Colorado’s Silt.

Although Kite declined to provide further details to the media regarding the incident, he did affirm that the congresswoman and her ex-husband were implicated.

The Hill has requested validation and comment from Kite and Boebert’s office.

“I will review surveillance footage,” Kite informed The Denver Gazette.

In 2023, Boebert initiated the divorce process, which was concluded within a few months. She and her ex-husband co-founded four sons during their nearly eighteen-year marriage.

Boebert has previously been involved in a highly publicized altercation with law enforcement.

In September, she was escorted out of the Denver Performing Arts Center’s production of “Beetlejuice” subsequent to complaints from fellow attendees regarding her purportedly disruptive conduct.

Boebert declared her decision in late December 2023 to compete for the position of representative to the more conservative Fourth Congressional District, replacing retiring Representative Ken Buck (R-Colo.), in lieu of seeking reelection in her home district of Colorado’s Third Congressional District.

By doing so, she chose to circumvent a formidable rematch with Adam Frisch, her Democratic opponent who had already declared his candidacy for Boebert’s seat.
