REPORT: Former Miss Iraq Planning to Run for Adam Schiff’s Seat on Anti-Squad Platform

Sarah Idan, a former Miss Iraq and current Democratic candidate for Congress, stated during a visit to Israel on Tuesday that she intends to be a “anti-squad” Democrat if elected.

Idan is vying for the seat of California Democratic Representative Adam Schiff, who previously ran for the Senate.

Her remark that she was “the anti-squad” was a jab at the progressive faction of the Democratic Party, which, like members of Congress, is anti-Israel.

“I want them to see the horror that caused the war on Gaza. The world is shouting ‘Free Palestine’ and it was never about freeing Palestine. This is not about freeing Palestine — killing innocent families and burning them alive. This is not freeing Palestine, this is terrorism,” she said in a statement to the Times of Israel.

The news source mentioned Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and Ilhan Omar.

Those who disparaged Israel on college campuses in relation to the Hamas-Israel conflict were similarly criticized by Idan.

Formerly, Idan served as a translator for American forces stationed in Iraq.

Additionally, Idan has previously criticized the Middle East policy of the Biden administration for being for too liberal and permissive of terror.
