Former Trump Secretary of State Bill Barr Claims New Trump Administration Would be ‘Horror Show’

Bill Barr, a former attorney general, said on Friday that former President Trump would reportedly bring “chaos” and a “horror show” to the White House if he were to take office again in 2024.

Under Trump and previous President George H.W. Bush, Barr served as attorney general. He was in Cleveland to promote his book.

“If you believe in his policies, what he’s advertising as his policies, he’s the last person who could actually execute them and achieve them. He does not have the discipline.” Barr said.

“It is a horror show when he’s left to his own devices. And so, you may want his policies, but Trump will not deliver Trump policies.” he continued.

“He will deliver chaos and, if anything, lead to a backlash that will set his policies much further back than they otherwise would be,” he added.

Since leaving the office in December 2020, the former attorney general has turned into a vocal opponent of Trump.

After Jeff Sessions’ resignation in 2019, he was proposed by President Trump to take over as Attorney General once more.

Barr was embroiled in a number of high-profile scandals while serving as attorney general, including his handling of the investigation into Russian participation in the 2016 presidential election and his choice to become involved in Roger Stone’s sentencing, who was a close confidant of President Trump.

On December 23, 2020—just a few weeks before the conclusion of the Trump administration—Barr announced his resignation as attorney general.
