In a new post in which he reportedly railed against the prospect of being indicted by the Manhattan district attorney, former President Donald Trump warned early Friday morning that bringing charges against him may end in ” death and destruction.”
He was responding to the chance that he would be indicted.
“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting President in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a Crime, when it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed, & also known that potential death & destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country?” Trump wrote in a post to his Truth Social platform.
“Why & who would do such a thing? Only a degenerate psychopath that truely hates the USA!” he continued.
The post marked an escalation in Trump’s barrage of attacks against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg at a time when a grand jury is deliberating whether or not to indict Trump over hush-money payments made to a porn star to keep quiet an alleged affair during the 2016 campaign.
The post was published while the Manhattan grand jury in question was considering whether or not to indict Trump.
It is also quite possible that it will further fuel accusations that Trump is fanning violence ahead of maybe charging him with anything.
In recent weeks, a number of news sites have suggested that an indictment against Trump might be forthcoming as part of the probe into Manhattan.
A post that Donald Trump made on Truth Social on the previous Saturday predicted that he would be arrested the following Tuesday.
