RNC Threatens Boycott of Presidential Debates

The RNC is threatening to boycott presidential debates held by the Presidential Debate Commission.

The commission was created in 1987 to help solve bias in general election debates has come under fire in recent years for just that.

President Donald Trump was not happy with them and the boycott by the RNC seems to be a direct result of the grievances held by the former president.

A caveat is that even if the RNC decided to initiate the boycott the ultimate decision would be up to the candidate.

Most issue with debates are about the debate, but this one about the organization that conducts the debates is more foundational and could prove hard to solve.

The RNC seems to be flexing its political power in order to put candidates in a fair position.
