New Poll Shows Trump Leading Biden By 5 in Key Swing State

In North Carolina, according to a new survey, former President Trump is currently leading President Biden by five points.

According to the survey conducted by the Center for Survey Research at East Carolina University, Trump has 48 percent of the support in the Tar Heel State, while Biden has 43 percent.

The survey discovered that only 4 percent of respondents who intend to vote on Election Day are still uncertain about which candidate they will support, and 3 percent indicated that they would support an independent or third-party candidate.

The most significant issue that North Carolinians are currently facing is inflation and the overall cost of living, as identified by 42% of the surveyed voters.

Meanwhile, the general economy was identified as the most significant issue by 17 percent of respondents, while the state’s abortion law was identified as the most significant issue by 13 percent.

Biden’s performance in office was disapproved of by just over half of North Carolinians surveyed, or 55%.

In contrast, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) had a disapproval rating of 39 percent, placing him ahead of the president.

A critical battleground state that supported Trump in the 2020 presidential election is North Carolina.

This week’s poll revealed that 29% of respondents said they would be less inclined to vote for Trump in November as a result of his guilty verdict in the hush money trial.

On the other hand, 37% of respondents indicated that their vote would not be affected by a guilty verdict.
