REPORT: Rupert Murdoch Pushing for Popular GOP Governor to be Trump’s VP Pick

A number of pro-GOP corporate titans are reportedly alarmed by a some of former President Donald Trump’s prospective vice presidential picks.

However, the most powerful of them all, Rupert Murdoch has a personal preference for one in particular who he would like to see become Trump’s VP pick.

The 93-year-old media titan, as reported by CNBC, desires that Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) join Trump’s presidential ticket in the upcoming election season.

Significant corporate leaders and affluent donors desire a say in Trump’s no. 2, and the majority of them want him to avoid a number of the wild cards that have been floated, according to the CNBC report.

The following individuals have the backing of affluent supporters of Trump: Representative Doug Burgum (R-ND), Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Tim Scott (R-SC), and Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY).

However, according to reports, a significant number of Trump’s corporate supporters are opposed to the nomination of Vivek Ramaswamy or Sen. J.D. Vance as his running mates.

As per the CNBC report, Vance’s endorsement of increased tariffs is particularly unpopular among business leaders who support Trump.

Neither does Ramaswamy, whose nomination has the potential to cause major donors to withdraw their support for Trump.
