Texas Moves Ahead With More Razor Wire In Spite of Supreme Court Ruling

Razor wire continued to be installed along the U.S.-Mexico border by the Texas National Guard on Tuesday, following the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court that the Biden administration could remove or cut through the razor wire.

On Monday, the Supreme Court rendered a 5-4 decision in support of the Biden administration.

Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh, according to the order, would have all denied the request of the Biden administration.

Images surfaced on Tuesday depicting the state of Texas continuing to install razor wire along the frontier in an effort to halt the illegal immigration crisis that President Joe Biden has stoked.

Razor wire was deployed in execution of Operation Lone Star, an initiative initiated by Abbott in March 2021 in response to Biden’s alleged failure to enforce United States immigration law and the subsequent surge in unauthorized immigration along the southern border caused by Biden’s policies.

Monday night, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) spokesman Chris Olivarez emphasized Operation Lone Star on social media.
