REPORT: Tucker Carlson Working on New Media Venture

According to a new report from Puck News, Tucker Carlson is gathering money to launch a new media company.

According to reports, Carlson is soliciting money for the project, and the “vast majority” of his former Fox News employees plan to work with him.

“It’s increasingly possible that the Twitter show is a top-of-funnel play for other things Tucker may soon have cooking. In fact, I am told he is raising capital to launch a new company that may yet prove more influential.” Puck writer Dylan Byers wrote.

On Monday, Fox News sacked the remaining members of Carlson’s team and debuted a new primetime lineup. In a move dubbed “shockingly callous” by one former Fox News producer, the network let rid of at least nine employees, including long-time producers.

Fox revealed their decision to cut ways with Carlson in late April. Since the top-rated anchor launched his own program on Twitter, Fox News and Carlson have been engaged in a public legal spat.

In the middle of June, Fox News sent a “cease and desist” letter to Carlson, claiming that he had broken his contract by posting the premiere of his show on Twitter in violation of the non-compete agreement.
