Trump has been holding rallies again around the country and promised during a rally on Saturday in Texas to “treat those people from Jan. 6 fairly.” Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives for the events surrounding that day.

The promise by President Trump drew the ire of Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) who said he should not have made that promise. Collins was one of 7 Republicans who voted to convict Trump in the Senate.

Even self-described Trump ally, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said the comments were inappropriate and said boldly that “I don’t want to reinforce that defiling the Capitol was OK.”

725 people have been charged to date for the attack and many have been held since that day.

Trump famously corrected a man announcing Trump on the tee, “first on tee…45th President of the United States!” by responding , “45th and 47th!”
